HDI Compact 3D scanners


The HDI Compact 3D scanners are designed for demanding industry applications that depend on accurate and repeatable scanning results. These portable systems combine the best of both worlds: the convenience of consumer-grade 3D scanners while producing industrial grade quality results of professional 3D scanners. They use LED structured-light technology to deliver stunning 3D scan results.

How It Works:

The HDI Compact takes a 3D image of what it can see at one time. To create a digital model of the entire object, scans have to be taken from all angles. It uses the following components to capture a 3D scan:

  • Capturing Unit: The light source (LED light) projects a series of patterns onto the scan target. The patterns become distorted when projected onto the object’s surface. Duo cameras capture these images and send them to FlexScan3D.
  • FlexScan3D Software: The control centre that runs the entire operation. It uses the captured images to calculate the object’s depth and surface information to create a 3D scan. FlexScan3D then cleans, merges, and stitches multiple scans together (known as post-processing) in order to create a complete digital 3D model.

What if you can have a powerful 3D scanner that can easily adapt to scanning a variety of parts, while still easy to take with you on off-site projects? The HDI Carbon is your answer. It’s a crossover 3D scanner that combines flexibility and portability into one powerful system.

The HDI Carbon gives you the flexibility to scan objects of various sizes. The system has 2 camera mounting positions on the carbon fiber frame to adjust the scanner’s diagonal field of view from 225mm to 600mm.

MeasureXL Portable CMM


MeasureXL Wireless Portable CMM is 3D measurement system that makes it simple to quickly probe 3D measurements for industry applications.

You have the freedom to measure what you need for work with MeasureXL optical coordinate measuring machine (CMM). The 3D digitizer consists of a wireless probe and an optical tracker to capture any measurements in real-time. It’s great for use when you need to take a few measurement points quickly with accuracy up to 0,25 mm. MeasureXL is efficient and versatile in a wide range of applications including reverse engineering and scientific measurement.

MeasureXL’s proprietary software has the ability to measure and create:

  • All types of 2D geometry (arcs, lines, and splines)
  • 3D geometry
  • Angles, distances, and points

Results are displayed immediately inside the software as you probe. When you’ve have taken the measurements, export directly to these file formats for use in other software applications:

  • IGES (CAD)
  • CSV (Text)

3D scanning software FlexScan3D has aligning, merging, and hole filling capabilities to transform 3D scans into a complete digital 3D model. It also comes with basic inspection tools for deviation analysis.

FlexScan3D is all you need to be more efficient at 3D modelling:

  • Capture 3D scans
  • Clean up scan data using advanced post-processing capabilities
  • Merge 3D scans into a full digital 3D model
  • Deviation analysis provides mesh-to-mesh comparison to determine accuracy level and for benchmarking

XTract3D Software

XTract3D Add-in is reverse engineering plug-in that works natively inside SOLIDWORKS. It’s designed to import 3D scanner data and use it as a reference for building CAD models (SCAN-to-CAD).

We all know building parametric CAD models can be a complicated process, but it doesn’t have to be this way. XTract3D gives you access to powerful slicing, fitting, and snapping tools for reverse engineering directly inside SOLIDWORKS.
